About the Author Kevin Arthur Hart is an American writer. A near death experience through a drug and alcohol overdose brought him to a major life transformation. At a treatment center he found journal writing to be of high value, and began to chronicle each day. It was here that a connection to a new Source of guidance began to develop. Upon awakening into a world of inspired sobriety, he was overcome with the urge to share his journey. The solutions he found may help others. In his first book, A Thousand Screaming Monkeys, he lets us into the depths of the mind of a late stage alcoholic and drug addict, sharing his raw and true journey. His sincere wish is that all may live a life of freedom and happiness. Mr. Hart lives in a lake cottage in Snohomish, Washington.

Henderson I picked up the book and had a hard time putting it back down. Kevin's writes with raw honesty about the struggle of addiction and surrendering to something greater than the "thousand screaming monkeys" that rarely rest. Reading this book stirred an uncomfortable recognition of my own monkeys which, ironically, helped me to feel hopeful. Hopeful about taming my own internal committee who's constant chatter have had the power to lead me down a road in direct opposition to supporting my highest good. Buy it. Read it. Share it.

An Inspiring Journey By Audrey A Thousand Screaming Monkeys is a book that needed to be written as it provides a raw, gritty and rare look into the world of addiction. Seldom do we get to understand the torment and heavy toll that addiction & alcoholism takes on not only the addict, but also on those who love the addict. What does one do with all of that? Kevin takes us from the depths of utter despair to a place of surrender, self-compassion and redemption. There are so many teachable moments in this book, so many words to live by. Kevin's shift from a fractured, disconnected human to a vulnerable, searching man seeking meaning in the mundane, will inspire anyone who has ever felt challenged to break free from a difficult aspect of life. It's so important to be able to see the delicate process that takes place when surrender is the only thing left, other than physical death, and through Kevin's poignant story we are left with a message of hope for a meaningful life. We are inspired to believe that anything is possible even in the face of incredible odds. He shows us that there is a pure potential that lives within each of us, a potential that can only be revealed when we reconcile all that keeps us from it.Kevin's book is a light, a beacon ... a how-to guide for the weary one who has lost all hope for a better life. By kira lynch I just finished reading this book and it left me feeling such gratitude for the gift of sobriety. Kevin's story so clearly illustrates the destruction that addiction can cause in peoples lives and the miracles that occur when the willingness to recover is tapped into. Kevin's ability to share the lessons he learned and the wisdom gained as he progressed through the early stages of recovery make this book a helpful guide for those seeking freedom from living a life in the frequency of addiction. I plan to share this book with people who enter my life and need to build hope that recovery is possible.
