PDF Ebook Raw Beet, by Sarah Willes, Hattie Deards, Rachel Martino, Annabel Graham Wood
Blues Agency chefs come together with Nutritional Therapist, Rachel Martino (at ByRachelMartino) to bring together a collection of fairly simple, but delicious recipes, that can be served formally or informally, using ingredients that can be bought easily. The book focuses on four particular groups of recipes: Gluten Free, Raw, Vegan and Low GI. While there are many people who need to follow a particular diet for medical reasons, and some who choose to for their own personal reasons, anyone can incorporate the recipes into their daily lives even if they are not choosing to follow a certain diet. This book is in support of Blues In Schools, a charity arm of Blues Agency Ltd, teaching children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties to cook.

This is such a beautiful book; but, the hook line and sinker for me was the back cover line 'This book will quickly become an essential resource in your kitchen, sauce splattered and eagerly thumbed.'I was caught in a memory of the cook books in our family kitchens growing up, that had just as much flavor on the pages as in them and wanted one of my own.Pros:Co-authored, no two pallets are the same so you get a wide variety of collaborated creativity and tastes which inspire you to play with food and create your own variations on these recipes or recipes of your own using the same base ingredients.Four books in one. GF,R,V and Low GI Food. Even without allergies myself I am always looking for ways to feel better and eat better, but still a beginner not sure I’d invest in a book for each separate category.Just from the introduction alone you can tell this is not a FAD diet book, the focus isn't judgement of what you are or aren't eating. The message is 'Knowledge is health' which is inspiring.A list of basic ingredients for your cabinets and all ingredients are SUPER easy to find in any supermarket, short shopping list; most ingredients used on multiple dishes and so far NO googling of ingredients and going to out of the way extra expensive markets required.Though not a food reason, love that - "This book is in support of Blues In Schools, a charity arm of Blues Agency Ltd, teaching children and adolescents with emotional, behavioral and learning difficulties to cook"Cons: When is your next book?Been thumbing through this book as I review... and now I'm hungry...ENJOY!(All images were captured from the book)

This book is such a great tool to demystify the inclusion of raw, vegan, or gluten free cooking (or un-cooking) into the kitchen. At first, I thought I simply had a recipe book, but quickly saw it was much more. I greatly appreciated the section outlining staple items to keep a well-rounded pantry and allowing me to be ready to whip up a variety of tasty creations on the fly.I particularly loved the raw food section and am excited to include some of the recipes into my normal diet. I was also pleased and reassured to know there was a registered nutritional therapist and raw food chef behind many of the creations I enjoyed. In a time of fad diets, it is wonderful to see someone committed to healthy eating, holistically. If you are on the fence about this one, I recommend checking it out, or at least looking into some of the authors behind the tasty creations!!
