One I had to remind myself it was a fiction, two, I had to remind myself the author was a man. H.M. Trey is a uniquely amazing writer as far as I am concerned. He made me feel his main character was my friend. I could not stand her mother even though she had quote unquote justifiable reasons for her detachment from her daughter. It amazes me how well the author knows the inner dynamics of a woman. He knows our heart and why we are so sensitive. Oftentimes I felt like I was watching a movie. The way he introduced us to the journey was well thought out and how he took us to the end was remarkable. I loved the way he revealed the various types of men women come to know. Bottom line: Trey understands human nature. Excellent read. Definitely glad I read it.
