About the Author David is truly a poet of the people responding always to requests for poetic narratives about family, friends and relatives, no request goes unanswered. He enjoys writing about places he has visited and sharing his bits of verse. David is currently living in Surfside Beach, Texas, home of the Old Fort Velasco, and a member of the Historical Committee. His Raison D’Etre is to share his gift with those he meets along the pathway of life.

The poetic narrative of the history of Fort Velasco and Surfside Beach is wonderful and informative.The full color printing and the presentation are wonderful, this makes a wonder gift for any fans of Texas history, or it also makes a great coffee table book.

Great Texas Coffee Table Book By Peggy Llewellyn Great poetry collection that gave a glimpse of The Texas Revelution from the perspective of an important coastal community in the 1820 through 1850s. Beautiful graphics go hand in hand with the elegant poems.

If you are a fan of Texas History this poetry is for you. If all poetry was done this way I'm sure I'd read so much more.
