By Aja In this intense action-packed, crime thriller from Roy Glenn, readers are brought up to date with all their favorite characters and some of their not so favorite ones from his infamous Mike Black Saga. The opening scene takes us into a battle where two good cops are literally up against crime. Will they survive the flurry of bullets coming at them? And what begins as a seemingly sedate state between married lovers, Black and Shy, quickly turns into a journey where not only a late night rescue mission is necessary but it sets off a series of events where more bullets are flying with Mrs. Black being one of the targets.Speaking of targets, no one in Black's circle is safe. It's anyone's guess who would want to get on the bad side of Black but I can say that wars have been stirred up for far more principle causes but when greed for money and power are at play, misunderstandings leading to death are the result.And if political corruption, a prostitution scandal, and a serial killer on the loose in the city doesn't keep your heart thumping, you also have an unsanctioned war with a drug kingpin creating strife and a rogue officer of the law trying to infiltrate the organization, turning this piece of work into a masterpiece. I would be remiss not to mention that between the verbal spats between a potential contender to Black's heart and the love of his life, Shy and the passionate love scenes that follow where he lays down his love, I could not put this down until I finished.There are many potential follow up stories so those of us that hope this series will never end, should know the potential for more is definitely there. I was extremely surprised by the ending though, with the enigmatic Jada West laying down the gauntlet. What she dangles may be hard for Mike Black to resist -he is a man after all. I know Black and Shy fans don't want to hear of a potential coup to their matrimony but know that Roy Glenn will make the journey of finding out what's in store, worthwhile.

Roy Glenn has done it again, and in such a manner that you won't want to put this edition of the Mike Black series down. This book has revisited the old days in ways unexpected. After years of being a force to be reckoned with, Mike Black decided to take a step back. He has agreed to place the reigns into the hands of one of his most trusted friends, Wanda Moore. He soon finds out that the power that comes with commanding the family and empire he has built is way too much for anyone else to control. Amidst all the chaos, the women of his past are making a reappearance into his world. But will the First Lady of Blacks world, sit idly while the past tries to re-surface? Shy is still a force to be reckoned with and will not go down without a fight. Once again, Mike is forced to remind us all that Vicious Black still lives.If you've never read the Black Series, you're in for a great journey. Start here or start at the beginning, either way I promise you, you will be captivated!! Mike Black is back and he's setting the record straight!!!

What can I say, I have been an avid fan of Mr. Glenn, especially, "The Mike Black Saga" since Mike Black was introduced to readers in "Is It A Crime". "Treat Me Nice", definitely treated readers to a suspense filled thriller. We never knew what we were going to get. Well written, well thought out. There were several story lines going on but you never were lost. This is the brilliance of Mr. Glenn to always leave us avid fans wanting more. I have read every book in the Mike Black Saga and Treat Me Nice is my second favorite, Is It A Crime will always be my favorite. With that being said, if this is your first time reading a book in this series, you will want to start from the beginning. I have read other Urban Fiction, however, for me, no one tells a story like Roy Glenn, he truly is the MASTER OF URBAN FICTION!!!!! Number one fan Michelle Woods.....can't wait for the next one.
