Love & Ink mix well under your guidance By Devin Joseph Metz I have always been a true fan of your work even before reading your first volume of work but two books in and I am proud and honestly excited to say that I am a dear friend of yours. This second collection of pieces follows closely the overall them of reflections and that is what the reader should truly appreciate about this volume.It takes an immeasurable amount of courage, pride and self-discipline to display one's personal thoughts to the world. Doing so leaves one privy to judgment, misunderstanding, misinterpretation and so many other things that can send one on an emotional tailspin of sorts.This does not seem to deter you at all, however.Self-examining pieces such as "Better Days", "Cleanse" and "Again" remind both the reader and the writer that the human side must be brought to the forefront often to promote one's authenticity. It is this human spirit that gives life to your literature. This is something I have always admired about your work.You also teach the reader in this volume the importance of using one's words to bring light to what most of the world would rather conceal. We as Poets are and must always be revolutionaries. World issues are constantly misconstrued and manipulated every day in mainstream media. Our words will offer the world a glimpse of the world the way it was meant to be viewed.It warmed my heart to read your dedication piece to our fallen but never defeated Matriarch: Maya Angelou. Mother Maya means so much to this life we live and even more to us as Poets. She would be immensely proud of your development and consistent willingness to grow with your literature as I certainly am.I am humbled and honored by your acknowledgement of my contribution to your inspiration for such powerful literature.
