2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. What a Wonderful Book! By Jennifer Hackett This title caught my eye immediately and I knew this was a book I wanted to read. I couldn't order and download it fast enough. It is rare that I say that, and I am an avid reader.I have been on a quest to lose weight for almost two decades. I lose weight, and then gain it back again. The true struggle for me is maintaining my loss.The real key to losing weight is to change the way one eats, and that is the lesson that our very witty author teaches the reader in this fine book. I am personally guilty of eating all of the wrong foods, and then complaining that I was unable to lose weight or keep it off. How crazy is that? When I eat the right combination of low cholesterol, high protein foods, I not only lose weight but I feel a lot better overall. It is a win-win situation. It isn't easy to change the way one eats, most definitely not. Let's face it, most of us love high fat, high cholesterol foods because they simply taste better. However, as someone who knows how much better I feel thinner, I can safely say that nothing tastes quite as good as being healthy and thinner feels.You will certainly glean some very helpful ideas in this wonderful book. I extend my best wishes to you on getting healthier.

Low Cholesterol Win By Devon I don't think that my family history includes high cholesterol, but I know that it is easy to develop if you don't take care of yourself. Lyndie is wonderful at explaining her diet. She opens up to the reader about her personal weight loss journey and she even talks about all of the things that she felt she did wrong or failed at. Really this book broke down every bad habit that people across the country live with everyday. I knew some of them (excess sugar, coffee, sodas and flavored water) were just things we didn't need in our lives, but this book divulges why and how we can control them better. In no way is this a guide for everything to cut out. But, it has distinct guidelines on things that are important to eat and those that are not!

A no-nonsense approach By teri High cholesterol runs in my family, so I was glad to read this book as I am working on getting my cholesterol numbers down. The author took a no-nonsense approach to getting healthy here. She ran all the excuse-makers out of town on a rail. I love her reasons of why and why-nots when dealing with healthy eating. The chapter on sugar was such an eye-opener for me. I never realized there were so many names for sugar. I am going be a better label-reader for it. We all should be label readers and be striving for a healthier lifestyle. This book will help immensely.
