The book's theme is taken from the ancient Greek myth of Narcissus, a youth so entranced by his own beauty that he drowned while gazing at his own reflection in a forest pool. What makes the book so unique is how this ancient theme is transported to the modern world and updated.
From the Author What I have attempted in this work are free verse interpretations of narcissism as it occurs in modern times. I have taken the Greek myth of Narcissus and used that theme to illustrate the many different ways that narcissism occurs, and the results for individuals engaged in relationships with a narcissist.
