By Donna Bradley Sometimes the titles like ( The Billionaire anything) will turn me against reading the book but there are times that I read reviews and take a chance on the book and this one I'm so glad that I DID!!! Just the banter between these two was so much fun and I truly enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I only wish we had dealt with his mom & his assistant. Maybe you can write a little more on these two who had wonderful chemistry!!!
4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Max and Christine By Gail T This story has a dry sense of humor between Max, Christine, and Christine's grandmother who is a mother image to Max. The plot is a good one but it lacks the passion these two feel for each other. Max is a billionaire who has been told he may have cancer, and he starts to question his legacy and mortality. He asks Christine to have a baby with him, as he may not be able to conceive a baby later. With this heart warming confession, they know they're more than attracted to each other, but the writer doesn't address it in the story. Christine is an electrical engineer, who's heart has been broken and stomped on, but she too wants a child, and accepts Max's proposal. This story is different and intriguing, it has comedy, drama, and even with the lack of passion it's an okay read. I wished it been a little more chemistry and passion, because it's obvious that Max and Christine has been in love with each for a long time.
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. COULDN'T FINISH By Kindle Customer I really tried to finish this book. I just couldn't do it. There was NO TYPE of chemistry whatsoever between the two main characters. There was a very dry sense of humor as far as the female main character but it came off as being a very tiresome type of sarcasm. I know every reader can read the same story and read something different but I have no idea what the rest of the readers are talking about when they give this book a five star rating. I couldn't even get through half of the book. Thank goodness it was free through my Kindle subscription.
