Masterful By Aja At the end of This Is Mine, I sat at the edge of my seat and waited impatiently for the next installment hoping he’d pick up where he’d left us hanging. And that is with those raw emotions from Mike Black after his brother/closest friend, Bobby Ray, was shot down. But, this author cleverly left me waiting, choosing to start the book with another character I can’t get enough of reading about and that’s Rain Robinson. Rain and her lover frolicking on the beach. Well maybe frolic isn't the best word to describe her activities, she is not a heroine after all, but a killer instead, and we see just how deadly of one in this story. Matter of fact, this book begins and ends with her, doesn’t it?Moving on . . . I was given my satisfaction when every important member of the family were brought up to speed on the latest development and they all rush to be where they need to be: at the hospital. That is, before each are given tasks to figure out who is behind this hit and to do it quickly and with whatever means necessary. Very little mercy is given in this story, very few moments of humor, because Bobby’s life hung in the balance, but I did find relief in the exchanges between the new detectives: Cassandra and Wanda. They were absolutely comical and timely in a book when the reality was grim.Plot lines are emerging here. I see more development with RJ and his growing kingdom; Barbara and her teenage lusty, party girl ways; Nick and his budding commitment with April and Co. and what about Rain vacationing on a beach with Dr. Von. Yes, I came back to it because are we seeing a softer side in her? Inquiring minds would like to know.I know, five stars seems to be my standard for this author and that’s only because each are well deserved and here it’s no different. This story was full of emotion, action, suspense, broken up with moments of laughter. It was everything I’d expect in a story of revenge and I can’t wait for what and who is next. Excellent, Mr. Glenn.

By Dorothea Creamer This installment of the Mike Black Series is just what you need if you love a outstanding action packed read. It's filled with drama, attempted murder and murder with some humor thrown in. This installment has all the main characters but also the author has added Mike Black, Bob Ray and Nick offspring and their friends to the storyline which I just love because they are growing up to be replicas of their fathers, and it would really be interesting to have a storyline center around the offspring of Mike, Bobby Ray and Nick. I am a big fan of the Mike Black Series and a bigger fan of author Roy Glenn writing. You can't go wrong buying anything that this author has written. So do yourself a favor and purchase the Mike Black Series, you will not be disappointed and you will have hours and hours of great reading.

It is not for the faint of heart. Bodies are dropping like roaches in a roach motel! It’s a look into the world of criminals. In many ways these people are just like you and me….only they chose to live on the other side of the law. They have no regard for human life!It is without a doubt way out of my comfort zone. After meeting Roy Glenn at the 2015 Romance Slam Jam, I told him that I hadn’t read anything by him, but I would. I did. He’s a wonderful person and I will probably read more by him. I can definitely recommend this to my friends who like urban fiction. They’ll love it.
