With a recent trend of top MUT Runners coming from a shorter distance cross country/track/road background we’ve seen many course records fall and shifts in the lead pack at races. By Christian Messerschmidt The “Sage Running Secret” is a very unique book as it caters to a very specific audience: the new group of runners that flock into trail and mountain ultra races with relatively little road running or collegiate/high school track and cross-country experience. I meet these runners at all races and they are characterized by passion for adventure, a desire to test their limits and the camaraderie of a sport that has recently gained huge popularity. What these people often lack is a solid foundational knowledge of training principles and physiology, a cookie-cutter training plan (which their road-marathon peers often use) or even a personal coach.This is where the book of Sandy and Sage comes in:As experienced running coaches and professional athletes they have developed a sound brand and following in recent years. Their e-book covers the essential elements of ultra-marathon training sans any jargon in clear and easily understandable terms. Their minimalistic approach focuses on the most important aspects of running from form to training paces and offers essential and almost universally accepted training wisdom in a very condensed format. While the authors base their advice on that of the great running coaches like Lydiard and Daniels they also differ from Jack Daniels when it comes to the importance of VO2Max in distance running.It is important to understand the above as the intention of the book and not expect a comprehensive and highly scientific book on running and training such as “The Science of Running” by Steve Magness (which ironically ranks right next to it at the time of writing this review) or Jack “Daniels’ Running Formula”.As an avid ultra runner and reader of any training book I can get my hands on I have enjoyed this publication for its brevity and focus on the vital elements of training- as in every book, you always discover something new!I also highly recommend their affordable generic ultra plans for 50K/50mile races that provide a solid guideline for the midpack to even frontpack runners in regional ultra events.

Easy to read, easy to understand and put into action. If this is your primary source for running information, it will be very helpful. I did not get the version with training plans. This is a little picky, but the authors could stand to have a decent proofreader before publishing. Misspellings and grammatical errors throughout. Not everyone is a writer, but if you're publishing a book, you should have someone look it over who has a keen eye for these types of details. It helps consumers feel more confident in their purchase, if nothing else.

Part 2 was Amazing #TeamMylah and Kane By Jasmyne Mann your stories just keeps getting better and Better...Mylah has gotten even Ruthless homegirl is dangerous but, I guess she learn from the best and lord that Ace and shay they are something else. Tez is a whole another story with his lil scary ass. lol and I am so Happy for Kane and Mylah and didn't I tell you that Kane is going have keep her eyes on his lil sneaky daughter. I can't wait til part 3 cause I need more of this story you are a beast with that pen Niyah keep it up Congratulation on part 2 and Good luck with working on part 3

I just hope this whole jealousy thing she's dealing with don't become a problem. I honestly think Kane is her weakness... And he may be her downfall. Especially, with him knowing she'll kill her own father when it comes to her power and wealth. Maybe it's best we ended the series here, because I swear I'd feel some type of way if Mylah aka Blaze ended up dead by the hands of Kane.

I gave it 5 stars because i could not put this book down & actually enjoyed every character part in each chapter. Mylah always plays her leading role which compliments the title "Nobody's Side Piece" but it will be very interesting to see how her role will transform in part 3 as she switches from the drivers seat to the passenger. I can't wait!!!

There are some interesting recipes in this collection that I will certainly try for the upcoming holidays like the Pistachio Christmas Ribbon Bar. Pecan Fingers, Butterscotch drops, Cranberry Lace Cookies, Chocolate Crackles, holiday cookie meringue drops,Coconut Cookies Supreme, and Angel Cookies. The recipes include bars, squares, drop cookies, pressed or molded cookies, rolled cookies. There is also a section on basic mix cookies that you can prepare in advance and use whenever you need it. Great time saver!The book is well written and presented. Each recipe comes with concise instructions to prepare your recipe, adding even 1 cup of Christmas joy or a pinch of goodness and of hugs and kisses are included! There are nutritional value for each recipe, always good to know what your are ingesting. I love baking and this book is a great acquisition to my growing collection and will be my goto book for holiday sweets. There are recipes for all cook levels for beginners to seasonned chefs. Highly recommended.

Christmas is a great time for baking cookies and this book gets you in the spirit even though it is a bit early. The Introduction is brief yet has a good deal of information about Christmas cookies. There is a well written and easy to understand section on types of cookies such as Bar Cookies and Drop Cookies which I found helpful to see them all in one place.The next section gets right to the recipes which are in the categories listed above. In addition to the ingredients, directions and serving sizes there is a nutritional section for each recipe. I have not seen many sweets recipe books that include nutritional value and I found this helpful in deciding what to make.I tried the Caramel Apple Holiday Cookies and they were easy to make and my family really enjoyed them. I will make use of the book quite a bit around the holidays. With 55 cookies to chose from I don't think I will run out of ideas. I would recommend this book for all levels of baking experience. There is something in this book for everyone.

I'm so excited about this book I had to start experimenting early! Wow. Jingle Jam Bars, Pecan Fingers, Eggnog Snickerdoodles, and Chocolate Cherry Covered Cookies just to start!
