I swear most of these authors make all men look like crap when in reality it's the BOYS not MEN that they are writing about. Now on to my review I LOVED Kendrick he was not like any male character I've read about. There was no games, secrets, or hidden agendas with him which made him my favorite character. Now that Latrell had me giving him the side eye for a little while but I loved that he knew exactly what needed to be done if he wanted something real. It would be easy for me to say that Stacy is crazy but the truth is I can tell she just a lost little girl looking for love and going about getting it the wrong way I really hope she doesn't do anything crazy, but than again I would love to see how Kendrick, Latrell, Shea, and Lyric turn up. LYRIC and SHEA is the perfect example of what friendship and loyalty should look like. Period. There are a few other shady characters that haven't made noise yet but I know it's going down in PT 2. The ending had me crying I hope things turn out well though.

By Amazon Customer I truly enjoyed the book it was different from most urban stories I've read lately and that was refreshing.. I am wondering what is the disease Ken has. I am excited about the relationship between Ken and Lyric, I think they are good for each other... Stacy and April need to get a life and stop trying to force men that don 't want them to be with them...I like Trell no nonsense attitude and maybe Shea is the real love that he needs to be a better man but I know Nina ain't gone let that ride lol....she had her chance but he wasn't giving her what she wanted and at first I felt bad for her but then realized why he wasn't because she isn't who she portrays to be so no sympathy for her....Great read very disappointed in the ending(sad face) but anticipating book 2!!!!! Good job Shalonda!!!!!!! Great 1st timer......
3 of 4 people found the following review helpful. Not one of my favorite reads at all By DreamQueen Not one of my favorite reads at all. This book had way too many repeats. Some of the dialogue between two of the characters weren't the same, they were both saying different things. There wasn't a build up to anything exciting. There were lack of location, descriptions and transitions in most of the dialogue. I was completely lost. In my opinion this book should not have been published. No I am NOT writer, I am a reader, and I know a good book when I pick one up. I'm grateful that this book was free. Based on what I read most likely I will not be reading part 2 if there is one. Although the ending did catch my attention, it's not enough for me to continue with this series. This may have possibly been the author's first book I wish her the best in her career.
