If you're looking for something fun and light to read on a commute, give this short story a try. Is it deep and full of philosophical meaning? No. Is it good escapist fiction? Yes. Enjoy -- I know I did!
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. No real Chemistry! By postcrdprincess I came across this 2 part series while scrolling through the Kindle Unlimited books. I like interracial cowboy romances so I decided to give it a try. I was a little disappointed in the heroine (Mia). Considering she was a doctor she came across a little immature. It was also unreasonable that a practicing doctor could so easily up and leave several practices just because of a man. I didn't find a real connection between the heroine (Mia) and the hero (Parker). I do realize that when you are dealing with a novella that the romance comes real quick, however, the author alluded to the fact that the hero was coming around more, but never did the two really have a real relationship, when the hero decided he wanted more from her. Hopefully in part two I will see the chemistry.Another problem that I had with this book was the editing. There was a couple of times where I found myself rereading a phrase to make sure I understood it properly. I don't want to seem like I'm coming down hard here but as a reader what makes you want to continue a book; besides the plot, is the flow of a story. When you have to go back and reread what you just read it interrupts the flow and makes a story less interesting.
