When they finally met in person, he proved to be a psychopath. He attacked her, but she survived while her molester died (see Fear No Evil). Since her assault, her ambition has been to become an undercover FBI agent exposing cyber predators. Her dream is about to become true as she has been accepted to attend the FBI Academy.As she waits for the training to begin, Lucy works with her mentor agent Noah Armstrong; investigating the murder of Wendy James a high-priced call girl linked to Congressman Crowley. Lucy's analysis of the murder scene proves correct, but only angers Noah's boss, Supervisory Special Agent Matt Slater who does not want an untrained wannabe in the field. Assigned to a different case, Lucy concludes her investigation of the murders of several call girls and a social worker is linked to the James homicide. 20 of 21 people found the following review helpful. block out time for this book! By Kindle Customer I've been a fan of Allison Brennan's books since her vewry first series was released. I'm an even bigger fan now. This book did not disappoint in any way! I love the interaction of the main couple, Lucy and Sean. They are 2 individuals with secrets but with each and every book, more and more of their back story comes to light. I wish Allison could write faster, but with 5 kids at home....I'm fortunate that she can write at all! And that, my friends, makes me very happy!
12 of 12 people found the following review helpful. Another great Allison Brennan book By Buttercup I have read all of Ms. Brennan's books and so far I have not been disappointed. Her latest "Silenced" is just as good. It follows Lucy Kincaid of the Kincaid family (you must read her older books to stories about Lucy's brothers!). Lucy is a great heroine. You really feel for her because she was a victim herself in the past. Lucy is a very believable character. I love all the supporting characters as well. The dialogue is great and the story flows perfectly. There is a touch of romance involved, but the book is mostly suspense with murder, corruption....read this book, you will enjoy it! I finished it quickly because I could not put it down. I am now waiting (im)patiently for the next book in the Lucy Kincaid series!
